Hi, it's Hinata!
Today, Rei taught me how to follow the rhythm better!
...Huh?
I thought I was dancing just fine.
But according to Reiβ
π Rei: "You've got energy."
𧑠Hinata: "Right!?"
π Rei: "But you keep jumping ahead of the tempo."
𧑠Hinata: "So I'm extra energetic!?"
π Rei: "No."
And just like that, the lesson started.
We practiced simple steps first, matching the beat coming from the speakers.
Ta-tan, ta-tan, ta-tan.
π Rei: "Listen carefully to the sound."
𧑠Hinata: "I am listening!"
π Rei: "You're probably listening to something else."
𧑠Hinata: "What!?"
Rei really does say things in the coolest way possible.
But she was watching me properly.
Every time I moved too early, every time my timing slipped, she noticed it all.
π Rei: "One more time."
𧑠Hinata: "Yes!"
One more time.
And then again.
As we kept repeating it, I started to feel it.
Instead of my body rushing ahead, it felt like I was moving together with the music.
𧑠Hinata: "...Ah."
π Rei: "That one."
𧑠Hinata: "Was that good!?"
π Rei: "Not bad."
𧑠Hinata: "Yaaay!!"
I got so excited that I jumped right on the spotβ
and then...
π Rei: "That's exactly the problem. Tempo."
𧑠Hinata: "...Oops."
I got called out again.
But...
I'm pretty sure Rei smiled a little.
Just a little.
Maybe half a second.
Still, I saw it!
𧑠Hinata: "Rei, you smiled just now!"
π Rei: "I didn't."
𧑠Hinata: "You did!"
π Rei: "Next, we'll try the full run."
𧑠Hinata: "You changed the subject!"
After that, we practiced with the full track.
I'm still not perfect, but the rhythm felt much closer than before.
I think I finally understood what Rei meant.
It's not just about energy.
It's about listening to the music and moving with it.
𧑠Hinata: "Rei! I want to do it one more time!"
π Rei: "After a break."
𧑠Hinata: "I can still go!"
π Rei: "No. Drink some water first."
𧑠Hinata: "Okaaay!"
Rei is strict.
But she's also really kind.
So next time, I want to dance perfectly on tempo!
...Though if I get too excited, I might jump again.
If that happens, Rei will probably stop me again!
To Be Continued...
