The other Sunday, I went out to eat with Rei.
No particular reason — I just messaged her "want to go?" on a whim, and she replied "sure" pretty quickly.
I like that about Rei. She doesn't ask a lot of questions.

We went to a family restaurant. I had the hamburg steak set.
I also refilled the corn soup from the drink bar. You can drink that endlessly.

We were there for about two hours, I think. We didn't talk all that much, but I never felt like the time was dragging either.
Rei had coffee the whole time, and when I ordered a parfait for dessert, her eyes went a little wide.
"You eat," she said.
I chose to take that as a compliment.

On the way home, the air was a little cool and it felt nice.
Nothing particularly special happened that day, but I felt... refilled, somehow.

When you eat something good, things just feel right. I think that's enough to make a day a good one.

I'll write again when something comes to mind.
